Back from the deep end,
I present myself to you.
Time will destroy
All the weak and doubters.
You see me now again,
Perfect and complete.
Built on a new light.
A revenant for you to fear.
“I reckon I see an old face,
A pattern I once new.
My memory was ablaze
For the feelings I had to subdue.”
Now that I am light,
That I can save you from this world;
Now that I have everything
You come with open hands
To seek refuge and absolution.
While I wasn’t whole,
In the maze of existence,
You just wanted distance.
“I seem to see a face,
A pattern of reminiscence.
It’s all starting over.
The crack is opening in me.”
You ask for what you cannot have.
Jealousy, disguised cleverly
As repentance, and fear
For the future, unclear.
I’m what you wish to see -
A king of nothingness;
A commandant of souls
With a secret to profess.
All of you shall fall with no mercy,
Deaf, blind and unworthy.
I have come to this world not to heal,
But to show you an ideal
That you’ll no longer attain.
Nothing shall stand, none will remain.
I had to make my peace of mind.
I forgot all that was rotten inside
To make me whole.
I had visions that faded away.
Losses that left me blind
So I could be whole.
I battled an army of doubt.
I was stabbed by Truth,
And it swallowed me whole
“I crave for something
That I can never have.
And I didn’t take the chance
For reverence and a lofty stance.”
Barbo
Very lush expansive doom, lots of different arrangements and choral vocals, slow and sad and full of regret. Extremely high quality stuff. Sounds like a life’s work. Also quite heavy. Jono Schneider
Absolute perfection in its genre. If you are emotional like me, you will end up crying while listening to this album. It really touches the deepest strings of your heart and soul, a gem of doomy epicness, wonderful in every part. My most favourite 2014 album. Grewon
