my venomous capitulation and frailty.

chanting and singing songs of death,
O, luminaries of the Great Void!
And despair sets in, and I break within.
In my dreams, I make a funeral pyre
To all my hope and desire,
And a march for Death, the ancient purifier.

Life that grew within
Dissipates quietly into oblivion:
From higher self to the lowly vermin,
All embraced by my eschaton.

Who will sing my story,
The ruin of my love on the path of the spheres?
Over the aeons, over the vast expanse
Let these fragments speak of a former glory
While I, Phaethon, scatter in tears.

I would try, but try not, to release my heart.
